Darth’s Birthday

Holy Moly!!!!

It has been a really long time since I have sat my butt down and posted some shizzz. In fact it has been so long that I have forgotten how to use this dang sight. SHEEEESH! I can explain… well maybe Im just going to give a lot of excuses and pretend that its a legit explanation. Actually you know what?!?! I’m going to save my words and focus on why I’m back.

Life has been craze balls over the past few months and my priority hasn’t been this blog, no offense my friends I just have a lot of shit happening as many of us do. Over the last few weeks I started to think about WHY I started this little here blog and how it made me feel. I enjoy it a lot, sure it takes time out of my day to write a post or build a picture but every time I did it meant I was either trying something new or I was sharing things with you and that makes me Happy.

Im back and ready to jump on the HOT TAMALE TRAIN!!..CHOO CHOO!!!

Darth’s Birthday

Today was my Sons 5th birthday. It is such a great feeling to watch your children grow but dang how come no one prepared me with the fact that its harder then hell to see them grow. One day they need you and the next they don’t. They want you to tuck them in and then they are tucking themselves in. They loved watching you dance and be silly and now they ask you to quit because you are embarrassing them. All though it is hard I am so proud of my little man and who he has become.  Im sure many of you can relate so my advice is to keep on looking forward to the surprises that the littles bring and embrace every living moment you have with them.

I LOVE YOU Holden Cash, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Itty Bitty Christmas List

feliz

Holy crap… before Halloween even ended stores were setting up Christmas stuff as if Santa moved Christmas up a month.

Jeeeesh!

If you’re anything like me you are currently thinking your kid has way to many toys and the last thing you should do is play Santa and bring more toys into the house.

Or…

You think about Christmas and wonder why it has become a day of getting whatever you want and way to much of it vs. what its really about. I know, I sound like an old person but for real, its getting out. of. con-trol!

This year we decided to do the itty bitty Christmas list. I think its important that the kiddo still gets a few gifts for Christmas, I mean… Santa has to leave something behind doesn’t he, but I don’t want it to become this cray ordeal where he gets whatever he wants and expects it every year.

Grandparents, spoil him howev, we are sticking to our guns “you’ll shoot your eye out”.

I want to thank a close friend of mine who has many kids who gave me this idea.

Its simple || 4 gifts.

Something they want
Something they need
Something they can read
Something they can wear

I’m even thinking that me and the hubs should test this for each other while we are at it.

Merry Christmas after Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

My Christmas List Part Uno.

Gone Fishin’

photo(37)

I’m always looking for different things to do with the fam besides the main stream amusement parks, over the top water parks, and Chucky E. Cheese, Don’t get me wrong, I love the mainstream stuff but I like to adventure out and spend a little less.

I grew up in Colorado and fishin’ was a regular event for my family. Although we would catch the fish and eat them that night for dinner for some reason I never acquired a taste for fish. Anyways, I found this hidden treasure in Agoura Hills called Troutdale. They have 2 ponds packed with trout. They say if you don’t catch a trout within the time you’re there, you must be a bad fisherman.

Here’s how it works…

You pay $7 per person fishing or not.
You get a bamboo pole, bucket of water (for the caught fish), cup of corn (bait), and license.
You can also rent poles for $5 or bring your own.
Oh and you can buy other bait as well.

You find your spot, post up for a bit, and wait for the fish to bite.

Its that easy!

Its a great little place to picnic or and have a birthday party.

Hope you get a chance to explore it with the little’s.
